Advice & Prayer

I need some input and prayer regarding my 14 year old son. For about a couple of months my son comes up with excuses for not going to bed when told. It seems like every night while getting him into bed he is always complaining of something wrong with his body. Now let me tell you about 2 weeks ago or so in a 7 day time period we had taken Travis to the ER for stomach pains that turned out to be gas the next ordeal was supposedly he was having testicular pain and the ER Doctors came back and said everything was normal. My husband and I are going crazy it’s absolutely ridiculous we just don’t know why he is doing this. Do any of you have any suggestions? Please pray that Travis will stop worrying and stop fearing for the worst to happen. Pray for Karl and I to get too the bottom of all of this.

Sweetie, I will be in much prayer over this situation. Asking God to give you wisdom concerning this. I love you.

If there are belly issues going on, I would suggest having him eat an apple before going to be. Logan has been having reflux problems and has always struggled with belly issues, and I tell ya, eating an apple before bed, plus he usually has one during the day to, has really helped!
Also, I know it's nasty, but Apple Cider Vinegar has a lot of good benefits. I'm about to start that up again. My friend just suggested today, diluting it with water. Hmm, or maybe even with some Apple Juice.
Hope things get better :)

I'm sorry to hear this. It sounds frustrating to deal with as a parent and not know what is going on with him. I'll pray for him and for you to have wisdom as parents how to handle it.

God bless you, friend.

I'm praying for you this week, how are you feeling?

I was going to suggest the apple (and it must be a red delicious - has to do with acidic levels), but Missy beat me to it.

Also, to be quite honest with you dear niece of mine, he sees so much sickness between you and your Mom that he could be - a)Waiting for the shoe to drop; he may be thinking it's only a matter of time until something happens to him. b)Vying for attention and creating an illness is one way to get it. c)He's got some pent up fears and needs a huge dose scriptures dealing with faith and trust. d)Uncle Mike just added to this list - a boy his age needs physical activity - and lots of it. Get him involved in something physical - maybe the martial arts class again; just something to get him moving and his mind off of illness.
