OH Happy Days and Sad Too

I have been so excited but also stressed out at the same time. This month my hubby and I got approved to rent a town home and will be moving in March 1st. Oh do we wish we could move in sooner but that just doesn't look possible. The thing we are learning is you can't push something that doesn't want to move. The sad thing is I am going to have too get rid of one of my dogs and the one I have decided on I have had for almost 14 years. Let me tell you it is breaking my heart the closer the day comes for move out day.........I am up in the air about what to do if someone doesn't take care I know she won't make it in a shelter plus they would probably end up putting her down anyways and she has never been a single dog or been by herself. So I am considering putting her down myself so least I know where she is, I just don't want her to go to a bad family. Any ideas on this matter????

Let see, where do I begin..........how about here. The other day my sons cat dropped her water bowl on his school laptop. Thats a real BIG deal because if it doesn't work we have to pay $1000.00 dollars and of course we have NO idea which hat we will pull that out of. So please pray that miraculously it will work properly again. We did let it stand up and dry completely for a few day, but when my husband turned it on which it did, it looks like there is screen damage and the mouse pad isn't working. So that is why I'm asking for some deep praying that when my husband opens it again poof it will be all better and I don't have to make that dreaded phone call to his online school. Never know they might be understanding doubt it because it states in the rules that if you break the laptop you pay for.........were praying they will be understanding =) So of course I am stressing about that BIG time and during the mean time I am having to share my laptop with him.......YIKES.

As for my hubby I'm excited that he passed his last semester and it looks like he will be promoted by the end of this month..........Oh do pray for this one he so deserves this. The stress doesn't stop there for him on the 17th of this month he starts his last courses and he's a little (big) stressed out because instead of just doing 3 courses they gave him all 5 courses that were left so he is going to be a busy man the next 14 weeks. Just keep him in y'alls prayers.

Just Stuff

Where do I begin...........I see the last time I wrote was in August. Well, its a new year and I am going to try too start blogging again even if its nonsense. No seriously my therapist tells me to journal because its good for the soul and its away for me to jot down memories and just rubbish. The problem with that is I hate hand writing so I decided well, maybe I should just go back to blogging again and that can be my journal. See I'm rambling just a bunch of rubbish. This past year has been a very interesting one we have had our ups & downs but we pushed on through and we are now in the new year so lets hope its a GREAT year for all of us. As for my family we are doing all well, Travis is still homeschooling, Karl is still working at Loves and were hoping soon he will be promoted. He is in his last weeks of college so he is very excited to be graduating in the spring sometime. As for me I am still hanging in there just taking care of myself and family.

WOW, its been along time since I have posted something. I guess you could say I have been busy and also lazzzzzzy too. So much has happened since I last wrote. Well, the newest thing is that we got out of the 38 ft trailer and now we are in a trailer with an add on addition, least it gives us more room. The good thing is Travis least has a bedroom to call his own and decorate it the way he wants. I must say he sure does have the decorating gene in him, I wonder where he gets that from.......LOL He still is doing home school which has its benefits but also its down falls too. Pray he will get out and socialize with his teen friends and also get involved in the community or church group. Karl's job is doing great, it looks like he'll be promoted to shift lead by the end of the summer so pray that happens or God's will be done. As for me, I'm still here just taking care of the family and trying to stay on top of things as usual.

You know as I kept reading this verse this morning I realized that I am very happy & thankful with where I am in my life even though the circumstances might be unreal to some people. What I mean by that is a lot of people look at our living arrangements as crazy and why would we choose to do what we have. All I have to say is doing God's will and having complete faith that He is leading us in the direction He wants for our lives. I have seen God work in our lives and its amazing to see the doors be opened for us and even though we don't have the money to do the things we want to do so we make the best of what we do have. It has made us see the difference of what a need is and a desire. I believe the path we are on was our eye opener to lean on HIm and not my parents, we need to believe that God will see us through because He knows our needs and desire. I must say, being poor has given me complete joy, happiness and a more understanding for people in need, but here's the kicker I don't see us as poor I see us as rich in the Lord and if I am doing God's will then I have all the riches I need.

Just an Update.....

Wow, it's Labor Day weekend and we are going to be enjoying it in BEAUTIFUL Pennsylvania out here in the country. Karl started his job today it has been nice having him home for awhile but its back to the grind. I know it has been along time awaited for him and me too you never know how much you miss something until it is taken from you. So all Thanks & Glory goes to our Lord & Saviour for Karl getting a job so quickly, thank you all for your continued prayers for our family. Travis is still having a rough time coping with going back to school but I believe next week will be a much better time for him, so let's wait and see. I haven't left the blog world, I am still here its just that we have to minimize our usage on our 5g card. I do miss each one of you and are always in my thoughts & prayers.

Oh, Boy where do I begin………..well, we landed on Pennsylvania soil August 3rd, 2009. It was a memorable moment for me to see Nana and also to be back home where I belong. It has been a long and hard 14 days but I wouldn’t change it for a second. We absolutely love it here in the country I mean how could we not be in love, we sit right in front or you could say next to a creek (a big creek more like a river). =) I love sitting amongst the trees and the smell of clean fresh air; I’m just in awe of God’s beauty. Karl and I also love the rain we love listening to it and how the land smells after the storm……yes you could say we defiantly love being here.

Karl is still hunting for a job, we know God is in control and has the perfect one just a waiting around the corner. Please pray for him he has an interview this Friday at 1:00pm. Please pray for me that my Social Security will get fixed it’s all in a bunch right now. Keep Travis in your prayers if you could he will be starting High School…..Ugh my baby is no longer a BABY he’s growing up.

Wow, as my hubby & I were coming home last night from his parent’s house after saying, "goodbye" it dawned on us that we're closing a chapter in our life and starting on our next adventurous chapter. We looked back on our 9 1/2 years together and were amazed on how far we have come in our marriage, our walk with the Lord as a family, marriage, and 1 on 1 with the Lord. We sure couldn't have made it without Him guiding and leading us in the right direction but also being obedient to what he has for us now and in the near future. Karl and I are so excited to see what God has planned for our lives even though we may and have experienced some road bumps along the way. We just keep our heads up and say God is in control and He knows our needs and like the verse says, God will supply and indeed He is. I just keep on keeping the faith and not let Satan tare me down or my family. One of my favorite sayings my son always comments on me saying is; "Satan get behind me there is NO room in the house today!!" Its kind a funny but you know what it works especially when he starts putting those little doubts in your head. Well, I better get back to cleaning and work'n y'all =)

Urgent Prayer Request

Please keep us in your prayers especially my husband. This afternoon he was terminated from his job for very stupid reason. Please pray that he will be able to receive unemployment and that they won't deny it. Also pray for Travis to be qualified for SSI benefits we go tomorrow for an appointment and also that they would hurry the process up knowing we won't have insurance.

Do any of you like to randomly use new recipes on your family??

I do and I have found out that something that might sound nasty usually ends up being very tasty. Like to night I made zucchini & squash casserole and yes I must admit I did change one thing up instead of cheddar cheese I put swiss. Let me tell you it was tasty plus to get my hubby to try it just put swiss on it or in it.....LOL

What is your all time favorite dessert??

Mine would have to be my homemade Banana Cake w. cream cheese frosting.......I know its not chocolate but it is so yummy.

What do you like to do in your spare time??

Hmmm, mine would probably be re-arrange furniture & re-decorate all at the same time....=)

If you could go to any country or place, where would you go and why??

I would like to go too Europe and tour all the different countries plus I like the food and its also very beautiful.

What's your favorite movie & why???

Mine would be the "The Notebook" I think its a lovely movie of how 2 people fell in love and through years of separation there love brought them back to each other.

What a weekend? WooWee, I am so glad it's over.

Thank you all who prayed for my husband this pass week to get his 2 college course done. He found out yesterday, that in his 1 class he received a 95% and the other he got a 85%. I am so proud of him y'all need to know that schooling does not come easy to him but you know what, God is good!!! Please if you don't mind to keep Karl in your prayers because he has a lot more to do till he graduates in May, I know he would appreciate it and so would I.

Let me tell you, I have been busy with Travis on Friday he went to the got his teeth cleaned that morning and then went back the same day to get 4 baby teeth pulled. He's like his Momma has to many teeth for his little mouth.......LOL don't ask me how because I am always telling him he has a BIG mouth!!!! Then his today we went to the eye Doctor and of course his eyes are healthy.The awesome thing is his prescription is staying the same, yes that is good because usually when they are growing like he is there eyes tend to get worse. We did though get a new pair of glasses because he wanted to look more sophisticated for high school. Oh my, did I just acknowledge baby boy is going to high school, he's getting so big. I wish I could turn back time on somethings....LOL!!!!

For me I am just trying to stay cool and relax as much as possible because this month is very very busy. So just pray for me to not get stressed over the small petty things that life throws your way. I hope all of you enjoyed your weekend........................................................

I found some interesting stuff about pets and I thought I would share somethings with you.

Did you know ???? Cat owners are up to 40% less likely to die of cardiovascular disease than non-owners. (interesting huh...)

How to easily avoid a hamster bite.......
Before you pick up your furry friend, wash your hands. If your hands smell like food, your animal might mistake your finger for a treat.

Here's another tip.... I don't know how many of you have cats as pets. Well, I do and I have one who is very disobedient when it comes to jumping on the counters. The other day I was at a Doctors appointment and this lady & I were talking about our animals well, I happened to tell her about 1 of my cats. She told me she had the same problem and she had read in a 'good housekeeping' about stopping your cat from jumping on the kitchen counter. What you do is buy those cheap transparent car floor mats that you can get in the automotive department like in Wal-Mart or Target. The key is putting them on your counters upside down where the little prickly things are facing up so when the cat jumps he gets poked. By the way cats pads are sensitive and I guess they don't like it so it prevents them, stops them from jumping. So long story is that the mats help break the habit of cat walking on counters (kitchen). So I am going to give it a try....I'll let you know if it works.

WOW, what a day!!! Let me tell you I am soooo glad it’s over. Do you ever wake up in the morning and say, “hmmm I hope it’s a good day today”. Well, I did and I should’ve never jinxed myself because the first minute I stepped out of bed the Meany came in and let me tell yaw it went downhill fast. It was like someone had set a fire in the house, Travis was in a mood. Talk about rapid changing, indeed he got up on the wrong side of the bed. Lately it seems Karl & I am constantly walking on thin ice and let me tell you its very stressful at times. I am so ready for a change……let me tell one couldn’t come soon enough….lol. I think the reason Travis is so temperamental right now is Karl is busy with school and that takes up most of his time and trying to get Travis too understand that is difficult. Please pray for an attitude adjustment because I’m telling you I now understand why some animals eat their young, if you know what I mean.=)

Please keep my husband in your thoughts & prayers he is very stressed right now to the point where he is angry with college. He has 2 course to finish by Wed. & Thurs. when the regular due dates are always Saturday @ midnight. The kicker is his Professor’s want their 3day weekend so they asked for all the remaining Units to be completed way earlier than usual. So if you could just pray that he gets everything done including all the reading which is what he dreads the most.

As for me I am hanging in there trying to keep peace in the house……yeah I know that sounds funny me being peaceful but I am trying =) Well, I am so looking forward to seeing my parents in 2 weeks I can’t wait to hear all the fun & interesting stories. Plus to be able to give them a big HUG!!!!!

Oh Boy, do I get sick in tired of dealing with rude, irresponsible and disrespectful people. I don’t know about you but sometimes people like that can really affect my mood and change the course of my day. I know I am not suppose to let things that I can’t change affect the way my day goes, but my anger tends to overshadow my heart. So instead of pouting & sulking over things I can’t reverse I am going to get a grip on reality, the things that are around me and just learn to cope with life in general.

Awesome, it’s TGIF……WooHoo!!!!! Another week counted down from when my parents return home; yes I must say it’s time for them to come back. I miss them a lot it’s not fun talking to them over the phone I want to see their face and hear their laughter. I know they are having a good ole’ time but I miss my Mom’s funny quack ups & jokes and of course my Dad’s dry not so funny humor. Can you tell I miss them????

Well, yesterday was fun Travis & I went junk’n as my Mother & I use to call it. What I mean is Travis & I went thrift store shopping and a “fabulous time”, yes we did. Let me tell you the place to go get or find books is at the thrift store, Travis came out like a bandit. I even found a $30.00 NIV Study Bible for Teens for only $3.00 plus on top of that it is in excellent condition, talk about a GREAT deal!!!!! Travis got like 12 books 8 of those were a series and the rest are just books he wanted to read and on top of that I found 3 I wanted to read. So Travis has NO excuse about saying, “he has no new books to read”. He also found himself a COWBOYS sweat shirt and of course that made his day and made mine because it was 50% off the original tag so I ended up just paying a dollar….Oh yeah, that’s what I am talk’n about!!!! Can you tell I am excited???? Thrift stores are like candy for me I never know what I am going to grab or find:).

Well, today is cleaning and baking day so I better get back to work!!!!! I hope your week has been great!!!

Just Thought I Would Share About What's Up

WOW, it has been quite awhile since I have blogged. Where do I begin……..as you all know my parents are in PA enjoying themselves and having a blast visiting w/ family & friends. The 3 of us here in AZ have been trying to deal with all sorts of things. My husband is still trying to get settled into his online college and I feel he is doing very well even though he might not have all of his stuff yet. Travis is trying to enjoy his summer but is realizing that there is not a whole lot to do that is exciting. He swims almost every day which is good because that’s his exercise. I on the other hand have been really battling my auto immune hives. I am back on with taking a high dose of prednisone again hoping that it helps my hives get under control, if not its back to the dermatologist again. Like I tell people, this is the hand I have been dealt so I need to just deal with it as best as I can at the present moment and live my life to the fullest. It’s just hard not having any energy, I’m always tired and hot. The hives and now prednisone on top of it makes me so hot & sweaty were I am just miserable. My Dad joked around with me yesterday saying I guess you need to live either in the South or North Pole or a cave……haha. To be honest with you I feel like I am in a cave already I don’t go outdoors until evening or night so I don’t have to deal with the hot sun or intense heat.

Travis tries or does things to try and get my mind off the itching & burning. We will play games or he’ll decide to cook dinner that evening which is fun. This weekend he made delicious chocolate chip cookies but the funny thing was is that instead of making drop size cookies on the pan, he made meatball size cookies that spread to make 1 gigantic cookie. Let’s just say the batter was to make 3 dozen well we only got 2 pans worth, we had to cut his cookies with a spatula but oh they were so thick & tasty. Sometimes it’s worth messing up and when you do good things do come out of it!!!! I’m learning not to fret over small, petty things anymore…..YEAH!!!

I am so bummed out; I just don’t know what to do with myself. I just don’t feel like doing anything like cooking, cleaning, getting dressed, spending time with family, nothing. I am honestly trying to get out of this down in dumps feeling. It just seems like I am drowning and can’t get any air. I truly can’t stand where I live it’s so hot here, when I try to go outside my skin starts to burn. It seems the extreme heat bothers my hives even more and causes them to stay flared up. No I am not complaining this is something I have grown a custom too it’s just life for me. I just wish I could do more out door things with my son, I know it bothers him. Well, I am going to muster up the will to go clean myself & dressed.

Wow, what a week I am so happy it’s over. I am also glad my parents made it to PA even though they had some problems along the way, but God saw them through it. I do miss them but I know & understand that they need this time together. I am excited for them that they get to be with family & friends even though I wish I could have gone. Hopefully one day I will be able to make it back there.

Well, I have had an interesting week. Went to some Dr. appointments found out that my ear is healing very well, so I was happy to hear that. Still have to follow Doctors orders on some things concerning the proper healing of my ear but that’s life. I also had some test done a couple of weeks back and received the test results for them and I wasn’t too happy but after talking to my Mother and her lifting my spirits back up. I decided to not dwell on the negative but to remember everything is in God’s perfect will. So I ask all of you to pray for Karl & I as we go through our journey of trying to conceive again. Karl also has an appointment for him to be checked out and we ask for prayer that everything is OK with him. I still have a lot of test (blood work) to get done. I guess you could say it’s all pre-pregnancy stuff they want to test for like making sure my thyroid is working properly and also too test me for diabetes because last year I took so much prednisone that it could or can throw me into gestational diabetes.

One excited thing is that my hubby has gone back to school, he started college this week. I am so proud of him!!!!! Pray that he will do well & not get discouraged when things get ruff. Let me tell you I hope this coming week is a whole lot better!!!!

My hives are starting to come back with a vengeance and I am starting to go crazy again. I just don't know WHY the medicines that were working are starting to not work. Please pray that I will be able to be strong and that the doctors might have another solution for me. I am going to call tomorrow and tell them whats going. Thank you & God Bless!!!

Happy Thankful Thursday every one!!!!!!
I am so thankful for many things this week like my son Graduating from 8th grade…..WooHoo Travis.
Yes, you could say I am very PROUD of him, he started school 2 months late last year and with patience on both of our part He did it. We all thought & his teachers too that we were going to have to retain him but God was diligent with seeing and helping Travis through…..Amen!!!!
On the other hand Momma has been very teary eyed because she sees her baby boy growing up way to fast; I want time to slow down. They want time to fly by hurry up so they can be an adult and now I know what all those wise Moms were saying, “slow down and enjoy your children because it will be gone sooner than you think.” Yes, I wish I would’ve slowed down to smell the flowers go to the park more often , watch & help him cook when he was younger, sat down with him when he asked, “Momma watch a movie with me.” I now stop and listen to him, I have learned to not say I am too busy son just go play a video game or watch TV. The last few God has shown me that it’s never too late to change the way you were. So I have started now to play that game with him, talk with him more and laugh out loud at his jokes. A child’s smile can warm your heart and feels your mind with beautiful memories. OK, let me wipe my tears so I can precede…..lol.
I am also Thankful that the Lord saw fit to give me another wonderful year with my Hubby. Yes, his birthday was on the 12th and with everything going on I forgot his B-day. If it wasn’t for my Mom calling me in the late morning I probably would’ve gone all day, thanks Mom for the reminder. So I am thankful that my husband was so kind and forgave me for not remembering, his comment was so heartwarming he said, “hunny its OK you have a lot on your plate right now.” Thank you Lord for bringing Karl into my life 10 years ago he’s a WONDERFUL man.
Lord, I also want to give a BIG Thank You for 2 Great parents who always feel my life with Wisdom each & every day. They mean the world to me NO words could ever describe the way I feel for them. I do believe though through your eyes Lord they see how Thankful I am that you saw fit for me to be born 33 years ago to two very greatful people who are my parents. Love You Mom & Dad!!!!!!
I’m also thankful for the sun & blue skies even though it’s getting very warm outside I’m still thankful for Gods beauty that I see every day.
Oh, I am very Thankful for the Lord watching over me this past weekend. I was an eye wittiness for and accident that happen 6 inches from my van. I was sitting at a stop light and a Lady ran a red light and of course hit the other driver who was coming through the light. I should’ve been hit and all I could say I was I know God’s hand came down and shielded my car. The people just looked at me in amazement but what I am most thankful for is how God kept me calm through all of it. He is and AWESOME GOD!!!!!!

Fun Things About Me

Oh Goodness...time for some grillin'!

1. When you were in school, did you study hard or cram the night before?

I always procrastinated so I would have to say I would cram the night before. I also would get nervous before test too.

2. What can pull you out of a really funky mood?
SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!! And going OUT to EAT so I don’t have to COOK…..LOL!!!!!

3. Do you keep the invoice after you've paid the bill?
YES, I learned the hard way when I had to produce a receipt for a bill I knew I paid to Electric Company. The only way I could prove it was going to the bank and having them print it out for me so now I keep everything, plus my parents over the years have nagged me continuously to keeps your receipts.

4. Do you have yard sales? Shop at them?
Once in a BLUE MOON with my parents!!!! Yeah, I like Yard Hopp’n its fun looking at other people’s stuff that could turn into my treasure.

5. When was the last time you rode a rollercoaster?
When we went to Sea World for Vacation 2 years ago I rode a roller coaster with my hubby and got all wet but it was FUN!!! I’m not much for rollercoaster though I usually just hang out by the side and take the pictures and watch the silly faces.

6. Spring cleaning...do you do such things as wash your windows?
Yep, sure do I do the entire dirty work even take down the curtains and wash them too.

7. How often do you clean out your refrigerator?
YUK, do we have to go there………I HATE cleaning OUT the FRIG it STINKS!!!!! Every time I go shopping I clean out the Frig!!!!

8. Have you ever been a victim of identity theft?
No, and Thank Goodness I haven’t .

I am so Glad its Thursday because I get to share with you what I am THANKFUL for. I am not going to say that I am rejoicing over my surgery that I had done last Thursday because I am still miserable & suffering do to pain and trying to recover from the reconstructive ear work. I am going to thank each one of you dear Ladies who have diligently prayed for my continual health that means so much to me and my family. I also want to thank my Father for taking off work to drive me & my husband to my surgery last Thursday morning and then to top it off running around to get extra prescriptions for me all in the same day. Thanks Dad you’re terrific. They have been such a big help in also bringing us meals this past week but the sweetest of all was when Travis (my son) decided he wanted to cook dinner for me. This evening Travis made a Grilled Chicken Sautéed Vegetable Dish with sour dough bread it was actually very tasty so a big Thank you to my son Travis. OH, again GREAT JOB!!!! I actually stayed out of the kitchen….Wahoo, that’s letting go of control. I don’t want to forget my wonderful husband who has been with me through this rocky road of recovery. I thank the Lord for Karl he is everything to me; he is always there when I need him.

Well, it’s Monday evening and I have had no pain medicine since 4: oo a.m. because I am allergic to it. I noticed when I took the Demerol I broke out in hives all over my head and body. Then I switched over to the other pain meds and I started to break out in hives with the other pain meds, I tell y’all I'm a mess. So I am trying to deal with the pain with Tylenol and closing my eyes and thinking of something else. Just pray that the throbbing and pressure will start to fade away, my ear just feels so heavy like it’s not mine. Thank you though for all your continued prayers.

I just wish I could give all of you a big hug along with a huge Thank You for all your prayers. Yesterday went really well I was not nervous one bit it was very peaceful, if that makes since. I am still in a lot of pain but I can cope with the discomfort and all. The Doctor was able to patch up the hole in the ear drum so that was a blessing lets just hope that my body doesn't reject it. He also cleaned in some other areas of my ear as the Doctor said I got a free plumbing job so I'm good to go. Again thank you so much for your prayers.

Well, tomorrow is surgery day and I am actually doing Ok right now at this moment. I'm not nervous or worried so y'alls prayers are working. I'm hoping that I stay calm as the hours draw closer and the nerves don't start kicking in. I am going to try to get some sleep even though I have to wake up @ 4:15 a.m ouch pray that I can get myself up in time. I just want all of you to know that I appreciate your prayers for me & my husband.

Update on Dr. Appointments

AS you all know I took Karl to the Dr. She decided to change some and add some new ones. Hopefully the Advair inhaler will help with his lung spasms we did fine out that on one of his lungs the e-x-ray show he has some fibrosis scar tissue damage on his left lung strange. The Doctor ordered a bunch of blood work to be done along with a Valley Fever test, so we're waiting for the results on that. Please pray that Karl's job understands I mean he does have the sick time and all that but just knowing the way our state is and the economy it just worries me sometimes.

Now for me I am still trying to fight this sinus and chest infection Dr. Burgio who is my surgeon did give me strong antibiotics last Thursday along with a shot of steroids said it would jump start me but I am just not feeling up to par. I mean what I am going to do I am not suppose to blow my nose or sneeze for awhile a long while. If I possibly sneeze I have to do an open mouth sneeze so I have been practicing.....lol you try to teach your brain new tricks. I need prayer y'all!!! Well, I need to get busy cleaning my house yes I know I shouldn't be doing that but you really think I can get my 14 year old lazy teenage son too do it.......YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I haven't been writing but I have been lurking around and reading y'all blogs which give me so much encouragement. Today I come to you to ask for prayer concerning my husband Karls health today we go back for second visit to do more test to see if they can find out what He has. He has been on 2 different antibiotics they haven't worked he is still very exhausted all the time, coughing and feels like he always having an asthma attack. Also I am going to be undergoing reconstructive ear drum surgery on 4/16/09 just pray for me that I won't cancel for the millionth time. Help me not to be worried about what can go wrong and get my anxiety all stirred up which trust me I'm already their. Well, off to the Doctor I'll let you know the out come. Thanks for praying.

Hello Everyone and Happy Thankful Thursday. I am so excited to share with you how the Lord has watched over my family this week and why I am so grateful to Him. This past Sunday I was sick so we stayed home from church Travis was a little under the weather to. I prepared lunch we watched a movie together and then we all laid down and took naps. All of a sudden Karl & I got woken up by Travis yelling Mom; Dad there’s smoke coming out of my bathroom!! Karl says, son that’s not funny now stop & go lay down. Travis says, Dad do you want the house to burn down!! By then Karl’s in the bathroom opens the cabinet, flames come flying out he’s screaming honey get some water. I’m thinking to myself hello he’s in the bathroom, like a good women I get a pot and toss it on the flames and enough said. Yes, the Fire Department did come out but if we would’ve waited for them our apartment would’ve burnt down. What I am thankful for is that the Lord watched over us, that Travis woke up, and gave Karl and I the knowledge to think fast on our feet during a situation that could’ve went bad.
I am also thankful for the unconditional love that my husband has for me. I know at times I can drive him crazy it’s not easy being married to a bi-polar, whose moods change as often or as frequent as the weather. I have been truly blessed in so many ways with such a Wonderful man.
To my Awesome teenage son who I am thankful for everyday keeping my life full of interesting, eventful, fun, and memorable moments. You are the Sunshine of my day & night you’ll never know dear how much I love you, like the song goes.

Happy Thankful Thursday Everyone!!!
Today my thankful post is going to be around a few verses in

Colossians 1:9-14
9 So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. This evening I received a phone call from my Mother-in-law telling me how much she & Charlie appreciated the meal I brought over for them on Tuesday. She said that every time Charlie & her see me they notice I’m always happy that I don’t let anything get me down. I told them why should I God’s in control He knows what’s going to happen even before it occurs. I thought that was interesting. So I am thankful that my actions are being noticed by others & they are questioning me about it (God).
I’m thankful for the time that Karl and I had shared together. The last couple of days were quite nice & very much needed.
I am thankful for my parent’s safe trip down to Tucson & back up to Phoenix. It’s nice to have every one home again where we belong. The house is back to normal TV on and Travis’ loud mouth in the background but I wouldn’t want any other way. I sure did miss him but I think his Dad missed him more, there playing football together on the video game system. I don’t know who missed it the most….lol!!!!
I’m just happy & thankful that God brought everybody home safely and took care of everybody’s needs.
Lord Thank you for the many Blessings that you drop in my life daily.

Happy Thankful Thursday Everyone
I am so Thankful that Lord healed our family from our sicknesses the last couple of weeks. I feel rejuvenated.
I am thankful & excited at the same time that my husband & I are getting involved in a new church where we feel welcomed. Travis is also getting new friends and is involved in the youth activities there too. It’s really awesome as parents to see your teen be excited to go too church to see his friends but also to hear the word.
I am thankful for a long lost friend that the Lord brought back into my life recently she is truly a gift from the Lord.
I am thankful for a blogging friend who is always there for me she encourages me every day. She is a beautiful LADY inside & out. I Love You!
I am also thankful for my parents in so many different ways and in so many countless ways. I love you!!!

I was walking down life's highway a long time ago.One day I saw a sign that read, "HEAVEN'S GROCERY STORE".As I got a little closer the door came open wide,and when I came to myself, I was standing inside.I saw a host of ANGELS. They were standing everywhere.One handed me a basket and said, "My Child shop with care." Everything a Christian needed was in that grocery store.And all you couldn't carry then, you could come back for more.First, I got some PATIENCE. LOVE was in the same row.Further down was UNDERSTANDING, you need that everywhere you go.I got a box or two of WISDOM, a bag or two of FAITH.I just couldn't miss the HOLY GHOST, for it was all over the place, I stopped to get some STRENGTH and COURAGE to help me run this race.By then my basket was getting full, but I remembered I needed some GRACE.I didn't forget SALVATION, for SALVATION was free,So I tried to get enough of that, to save both you and me.Then I started for the counter to pay my grocery bill,For I thought that I had everything, to do the MASTER's will.As I went up the aisle, I saw PRAYER. I just had to put that in, For I knew when I stepped outside, I would run right into sin.PEACE and JOY were plentiful, they were last upon the shelf,SONG and PRAISE were hanging near, so I just helped myself.Then I said to the angel, "Now how much do I owe?" He smiled and said, "Just take them with you, everywhere you go."Again, I smiled and said, "How much do I really owe?" He said, "MY CHILD, JESUS PAID YOUR BILL A LONG, LONG TIME AGO."

Wow, I had a very interesting and fun filled weekend. Where do I begin …….Hhhmmmm lets start at the boring stuff Saturday was cleaning day, going through closest getting rid of things that no longer fit or don’t want or use . Here’s the biggie Karl (my hubby) had been bugging me for days to do something with his hair. Well, Karl’s hair has been going through some hair issues it’s called little gray hairs not wanting to comb his way developing a cal loc right on his widows peak on the top of his for head. I’m telling you ladies I think they’re worse than us some times. The beauty shop opens at 2:30 pm Sat. March 7 Karl sits down I proceed to cut his hair with clippers and scissors it didn’t look to bad I needed to do some fixing on top even out some areas. My husband has always had beautiful thick black hair and……..Now as he you can see NO hair. I actually think it’s quite a HANDSOME photo doesn’t do him Justice at all!!

Sunday we went back to North Phoenix Baptist Church we enjoy it there and so does he. Travis is starting to develop a lot of friendships which is good. His Core group leader says Travis is starting to feel comfortable enough to start sharing with others because he now knows there’s other teens out there just like him. Oh just to let you know Core groups is small group Bible study for teens they break out on Sunday evenings and talk about Spiritual Health issues….sorry.

I am sorry I haven't been on y'all but last week I was sick and just not feeling up to blogging but I was reading blogs. So do know that all of you were in my thoughts and prayers. Well, work with me I am in the mood to re-do my blog its going to take sometime so give a couple of days to get it up and running again. Today was cleaning and going through closest of unnecessary junk that we don't need or use and taking it to the Good Will. I also enjoyed having family dinner with my parents this evening we had green chili pork, re fried beans, tortilla's, and of course all the helpings to go with it but it was just nice to be all together. Hello Every One,
Sorry I haven't been on for awhile but last weekend Travis went on a church retreat which he enjoyed tremendously. Yes Mom was worried the whole time he was gone and yes I cried too, you don't realize how quiet the house is with out him.
My prayer request is for my sons health. He has been very sick since Monday evening he just can't kick this bad cold or flu plus having asthma makes colds ect... worse. I tryed getting him into the doctor but they were so over booked that they told me if he got worse to take him to urgent care or hospital. Just pray that he will start feeling better and being his old self again.

Psalm 103:1-22

Today my scripture reading is coming from Psalm 103:1-20
I love all these verses but what is truly amazing is verse 12. East and west can never meet; it’s a symbolic portrait of God’s forgiveness. When God forgives us of our sins, he separates’ it from us and doesn’t remember it. (How awesome is that…) Another thing that rings true is we as Christians don’t need to wallow in the past because for God it has been forgiven and forgotten. He has wiped you record clean. If we follow God, we must model his forgiveness as well. That means when we forgive others, we should strive to put their actions behind us and move on as well.

The Practical power of “One Thing”

I have been reading a book called “Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World”. I must say it’s a great book and eye opening to. Here’s something I wanted to share with all of you.
The one thing that Jesus said was needed in Martha’s life was fellowship with Him---and that’s true for us, too. But the principle of “one thing” can also have smaller, practical implications that can help when life feels overwhelming. Here are some ways to practice one-thing thinking when your wagon feels overloaded.
1.) Invite Jesus to rule and reign. Each morning before you get out of bed, invite the Lord to come and take the throne of your life, to be your “one thing.” Present your day to him and ask him for wisdom and guidance.
2.) Ask God to reveal the next step. As you go through your day, keep asking the Lord, “What is the one thing I need to do next?” Don’t let the big picture overwhelm you. Just take the next step as he reveals it-----wash one dish, make one phone call, put on your workout clothes. Then take the next step….and the next.
3.) Have FAITH that what needs to get done will get done. Since you have dedicated your day to the Lord, trust that he’ll show you the one thing or many things that must be done. Do what you can do in the time allotted. Then trust that what wasn’t accomplished was either unnecessary or is being taken care of by God.
4.) Be open to the Spirit’s leading. You may find your day interrupted by divine appointments. Instead of resisting the interruptions, flow with the one thing as God brings it across your path. You’ll be amazed at the joy and freedom that comes from surrendering your schedule and cooperating with his.
This book has helped me to see where I have gone wrong. I have vowed to be a happier, loving, compassionate, patient, content wife. Gone with the old bitter, miserable, angry, scorned Heather and in with the new Woman of Grace. God wants to use me to show my family how a broken down women can be turned back into a beautiful master piece all over again. The best thing of all is my Faith in God it has always brought me back to the throne of grace and closer to my Creator.

How many of us can truly say we are content with the things we have, own, our walk with the Lord, finances and ect….? Lately I have really been thinking about this and asking the Lord to show me where I have gone wrong. A couple of weeks ago my son said, “Mom has there ever been a place that you have been happy at?” WOW, I honestly couldn’t answer that question. So the past few days I have been pondering asking the Lord to show me why I am not content. It all goes back to being happy where God has you at that point in time. The Lord is working on my heart making me realize that I am a miserable, bitter woman who has been scorned. Even though I have asked for forgiveness and I have been forgiven through God’s grace, I’m the one who can’t let go of the thorn in my flesh which is Satan tormenting me over and over again. Lord I come to you asking you to release me from bondage, help me to stop allowing Satan to torment me. Help me to show Travis what true contentment means and to be happy where you have planted my feet. Give me a joyful heart that praises your name and shines bright with your love. Amen

I'm Back

Hello everyone it’s so good to be back. I don’t know how many of you know but we moved again. My husband put his foot down and said, “This is the final move for quite some time so you better just learn to be happy.” I have to admit though physically the past couple of moves have worn me out to the point I am NO longer young and capable of doing the things I use to do. I really do like this apartment it’s very unique in the lay out. The nice thing is it’s a split floor plan and its walking distance to my husband’s work. I will be posting pictures after I get everything done. I sure have missed all of you and especially reading your blogs.

I am so ready for 2009, I have been praying for a better year. These are some things that I have decided to change in 2009…..
Starting with my daily walk with the Lord I want to shine bright with His love. In doing that I want to be in His presence all the time and in doing that I need to start diligently putting devotion time, prayer time and praising him first.
I also want to be a more loving, nurturing, compassionate, patient, and slow to anger Mother, Wife and Daughter.
Karl and I have also decided to read through the Bible with Travis everyday starting Jan.1st. Please pray that we stay on track and not get to busy and drop the whole idea. We really want to show Travis how important Gods word is in our lives, you know it’s the whole teenage thing……When there young they love hearing about God and praising him but for some reason when we hit teenage years the rebellion kicks in we think we know everything. Pray for God to really work in Travis’ heart help him to release control and anger built up inside.
For better health for my family, financial freedom from bondage, love for humanity, metal health, Gods will for our lives and for us to obey Him.

MY "1" TRUE LOVE.........

My One True Love

I met my soul mate April 16th 1999 and 9 months later on December 30th 1999 we were married. Karl has shown me what true love is and what forever all is about. He never let me push him away even through the darkest and hardest times of my life. He is my best friend and my lover. I never knew or understood what being in love was all about until I met him all I knew was for years how jealous I was of other peoples marriage’s I would always hope and pray that one day I would have that kind of love. My prayers were answered and God brought into Travis & my life a loving, caring, giving, godly, tenderhearted and slow to anger man. He loves us both just the way we are and has never asked us to change. Karl has taught me so much in the 9 years we have actually been married and I thank you for sticking by me and showing me what forgiveness is all about.

I have started reading a wonderful book called, Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World. Now let me tell you I got this book a few months ago and put it on a shelf like we all have done. The things is everyday I would walk by or look up from where ever I was at and out of all my books my eyes kept going to this one. The Holy Spirit has been pestering me for months like I said earlier and I just kept brushing God off saying, “I’m to busy I will get to it another time.” Well, I finally broke down today opened the book and this is what the first page said, An invitation for every woman who feels she isn’t godly enough, loving enough, or good enough…..WOW talk about getting smacked with a 2 by 4. I said, Ok Lord I get it, all this time crying out to God in prayer I had a book to help me through feelings that I am struggling with.
I have finished the 1st chapter here are something’s that stood out to me. Martha was always busy trying to get everything done to her perfection and Mary wanted to be in the presence of her Savior listening and learning as much as she could. Martha was upset with Mary because she didn’t help her sister with the household she just wanted to be with Jesus. Martha got upset one day when the Jesus was there with his disciples and Mary was listening in Martha came out furious with her sister and the Lord said Mary chose the better part. We ask ourselves what that means well, the better part implies that it was available to both Mary and Martha and its available to each of us, regardless of our gifting or personality. It’s a choice we can each make in our lives. As we know the choice did come easier to Mary but eventually Martha does come around. All I know is I want to be like Jesus, he went from one place of prayer to another and doing miracles in between. I know that I am going to be more tuned into and with God that not one action is wasted. That’s the kind of intimacy that Jesus invites me too share.

Time for a Vacation..........

What a December my family has had. My Grandmother passed away this past Saturday and then Tuesday we had her funeral. So it was very difficult to get in the spirit of Christmas I did the Christmas thing but my heart just wasn’t their. I feel so bad because I didn’t get any goodies made with Travis hopefully I can make it up to him next year. My Father was sick on Christmas Eve so that flew by fast. Christmas day wasn’t so bad we had a nice dinner then played a game that my Mother bought me for Christmas; I must say it’s really a fun game and my hubby actually plays with us too. Yesterday my hubby started coming down with something and now he is full blown sick with the flu. I tell you he’s got it bad but in the nine years of marriage I have never seen him this sick. I must say Nurse Heather is taking good care of him lots of rest and fluids. My poor parents have had to fend for themselves the last couple of days, I feel bad because tradition has it that we always have leftovers after Christmas but not this year. I sure do hope and pray that 2009 will be a much better year just not for my family but all of you too. Let me end with this Thank You for all your prayers they were very much appreciated. My Hair!!!!!!

Ok,
You're going to feel really silly when you keep reading this. Yesterday around 3:30 I took over some dinner to my parents and my hair color is a mixture of red and black. There is NO possible way I could have come home bleached my hair back too blonde and then take a picture of myself. If you look closely at the picture it was taken when we lived in the old house before the perm and all the other colors I have worn on my head this year. I know I can make a person nutty with all the crazy stuff I do but least I keep everybody on their toes. Oh, by the way the only thing I did change was I got a trim to cut off the left over dry brittle hair. Have a "great" Wednesday!!!!!
Ok I have questions to ask.....????

What a powerful verse especially with all the bad weather going on around us in so many different parts of our country. We have people with no electricity and it will be days before it is turned back on for them. I pray for the many people and families who are hoping too have there electricity on by Christmas. I will be praying for joy to fill their hearts and to bring peace during Christmas. I know it will be hard to celebrate when you feel like there is no hope but we all know that the greatest gift of all is Christ.

Well, I feel the weather here its YUKKIE I despise lots of rain. I don’t mind it raining for a couple of hours but all day today and the next 2 days…..YUK. Its cold and rainy it just makes my bones ache and my mood raunchy (grumpy). I guess I could get some baking done with Travis finally; we’re tired of eating splenda cookies or as Travis call’s them fake. I must agree there’s nothing like the REAL sugar!!!!! I am so blessed in many ways and I just love sharing them with others who are involved in Thankful Thursday too.
This week is about praise…..
I am thankful that I can praise God anywhere meaning in the shower, car, kitchen and most of all church. I love that I don’t have to… hide behind a bushel NO I’m going to let it shine, let it shine all the time.
I praise God for a healthy son who loves and believes in the power of God. I also give praise that he is learning from my past experiences and my present. He is realizing how important love and trust is in a relationship of any kind that means friends, family and especially between parents. I’m also very thankful that Travis loves to pray and is not scared to pray in front of people at his age.
I am also thankful for the daily praises my husband gives me. It’s so sweet to hear those words you look lovely today or hunny you make my world spin. Most of all seeing a smile on his face when he comes home and the bed is all made up or I greet him at the door with a kiss. Sometimes the smallest things we do for one another are when you get the biggest joy out of.
I am thankful that my Aunt and Uncle came up from Tucson to spend time with us it has been quite some time since I have seen them. So I was happy to be able to spend quality time together, hopefully they will be able to come up for Christmas that would be great to have more family around.

Need Help Please

I Need Help!!!!!
Now I know there are people in bloggy world that have dogs and cats. Well, I am in desperate need of some advice for my 6 year old Shi Tzu. Cuddles is her name, she is a very dominate female. Lately, well always she has been more aggressive than usual towards other dogs especially her dog and cat family. What can I do to stop her from being aggressive during play time?? She wants to play but when she is finished she gets real aggressive towards our 1 year old basset hound. I am afraid that her aggressiveness is going to make Lucille (basset hound) mean because Lucille is going to get fed up with it and turn on Cuddles one day. Also Lucille can't even enter a room with out her showing her teeth or growling at her. Here's another thing Cuddles is always with me she is my shadow its like when she is with me in a room or anywhere no one else can be with me or come near me. If you have any advice it would be deeply appreciated. Please help us ……

Oh I have so many things to be Thankful for especially my Mother, who courageously made Thanksgiving dinner for the 5 of us. What a “great job” she did knowing it has been years since she has cooked a meal.

I am very thankful that my husband has a job to go too that also supplies insurance even though it’s going up 01-2009 but we know that God is in control. He knows our needs and finances.

Oh, the big thank you is to our landlord who is very understanding to what we could afford and dropped the payment by 195.00 a month….WOOHOO!!!! Big Praise but after a few months it will only go up 95.00 not bad, God’s hand was all over that deal.

Great big thank you and hug too the 2 gentlemen who helped us move from our apartment to our town home. We couldn’t have done it with out you both.

Thanks to my Mother-in-law who gave us a dryer. She really saved us from getting more in debt big hug to you and very much appreciated.

Thank you Lord for helping me to kind of pace myself last week to get things done around the town home, also for keeping my hives under control, keeping me sane….lol if that’s possible with a hormonal teenager.

Most of all thank you all for your continual prayers for me and my family.

Let me tell you it has been a very hectic past week. Now this is my advice if you don’t have to move STAY put. It was really hard for me too move out of the apartment and then move into our town home all in a couple of days…..HUH!!!!! But needless to say I’m getting settled in hopefully tomorrow or Tuesday I can finally get the Christmas decorations up. I must say I really love this time of the year so I want to get the house all cheery and snugly for Christmas. I sure have missed all of you and reading your blogs so now I have to play catch up. Philippians 4:6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and THANK him for all he has done.

This week I am thankful for patience. There have been quite a few times I could have really lost my temper with my son, but with Gods help he pulled me through those situations. Sometimes it gets very difficult to teach Travis because no more am I his Mother but also his teacher. I have learned through the years to walk away and let both of us cool down, the problem is that sometimes I am so overwhelmed that I just cry my eyes out. One thing is I have realized is instead of me worrying about it I just pray to my Lord Jesus Christ to help me pull it all together again, it’s great to know that He’s always in control. So today I am thankful that at anytime I can call upon God because he’s always got my back.

I’m thankful for food. It’s comforting to know that there is food in the refrigerator and pantry so my family won’t go hungry. It’s also great that the many blogs I read that talk about planning a menu for the week and shows you how to do it, it really has helped me to get on board with planning a menu. I have to say I have meals planned for 3 weeks…..WooHoo. I ‘m hoping that really cuts down on so much spending.

I’m thankful that the gas prices are coming down, it’s about time.

I’m thankful for my dear husband who loves me unconditionally. He always tells me how much he loves and how beautiful I am everyday, despite what I think or believe. I just hope one day I can see what he sees through his eyes.

I am thankful that the medicines I am on are helping me to stay hive free. Everybody KNOCK on WOOD…..Please. It seems when I say that or tell someone how I am doing the hives come back even meaner than before.

Lord I am thankful for your unconditional love for me and that anytime day or night your arms are wide open too comfort and guide me.

Alright some of you have asked, “How am I doing”? Well, I am hanging on I’m still having to take my antihistamines if I don’t I the hives come back. I really was hoping this other medicine would take care of them so I wouldn’t have to take so much medicine. Oh, well life goes on I could be worse off then I am.
Travis on the other hand is doing well, thanks for or prayers concerning the problem we were having. I printed some verses on fear and trust; he says them before going to bed along with prayer time and needless to say it’s working great. He is actually going to bed with out fighting and sleeping through the night no more making up illnesses. Woo Hoo!!
I just want to Thank all of you who continue to pray for my family!! God Bless You All!!

When children pray…….

My son has never had a problem praying out loud or in front of people. Several years ago when he was in Awana’s (sparks age group) he wanted to pray for the prayer request that evening. One of the prayer requests was for his friend Abby; she proceeded to tell everyone that someone she new was getting their tonsils removed. Well, as Travis and the others bowed their heads Travis began praying. He started off well until he came to Abby’s friend, Travis said, “Dear Lord please be with Abby’s friend who’s having their testicles removed.” Oh the ladies just started smiling and smirking trying to keep from not exploding with laughter. Needless to say those 2 women will never forget that cute heart felt prayer for Abby’s friend that one Wednesday night.

How do I spend my life that was given to me? Do I make a difference in someone’s life? Do I live life for myself; for others? Do I live my life fully for Him, in Him?
Wow, talk about eye opening questions.
I hope & pray that I am spending my life the way God would see fit. I know I could do better in certain areas of my life and God is changing those as we speak. As I look back I have had some ruff patches in my life but if God wasn’t there to help me pick up the pieces I don’t know where I would be. The Lord has always kept me going and I thank Him all the time for breathing life into me.
I believe we all make a difference in peoples life some tell us how we have influenced their life and others keep it to themselves. I feel that everyday we should wake up and ask ourselves and God how I can make a difference in someone’s life today. It could be a phone call, a card, email, a smile, a simple “hello”, cleaning there house when they can’t, or even bringing some one cookies and telling them you were on my mind. Showing God’s love can sometimes be hard because we don’t want to offend them but what we need to realize as Christians is love bears all things.
I use to live my life for me when I was being rebellious but what I realized was no more was I hurting myself but others who loved me too. I now with lots of prayer and love I live for others, I don’t like seeing people hurting. So I pray for God’s mercy and grace for others to lean on the Lord and seek comfort in His loving arms.

I need some input and prayer regarding my 14 year old son. For about a couple of months my son comes up with excuses for not going to bed when told. It seems like every night while getting him into bed he is always complaining of something wrong with his body. Now let me tell you about 2 weeks ago or so in a 7 day time period we had taken Travis to the ER for stomach pains that turned out to be gas the next ordeal was supposedly he was having testicular pain and the ER Doctors came back and said everything was normal. My husband and I are going crazy it’s absolutely ridiculous we just don’t know why he is doing this. Do any of you have any suggestions? Please pray that Travis will stop worrying and stop fearing for the worst to happen. Pray for Karl and I to get too the bottom of all of this.

Random things that I thankful for……

I am thankful for Gods unconditional love for me even during the toughest times in my life His arms were always welcoming. His love has always and forever will be with me.

I am truly thankful for my husband who loves me for me. He has always been there for me even when I have tried to push him away, his love is and forever lasting.

I am thankful for the gift of being a Mother; it has truly been a blessing in my life. Like I told my son today my love is unconditional no matter what he does or says that bond is here to stay.

I am thankful for forgiveness it is awesome to know that when we ask our Father to forgive us of our sins, the slate is wiped clean.

I am thankful for my parents love, kindness, patience, faithfulness and friendship. Every day I am blessed to have them in my life. They are an inspiration to Karl and me over flowing with grace, hope, love, mercy and encouragement.

I am also thankful and blessed by the gift of friendship it has truly blessed my soul to read ya’ll blogs you have encouraged me through some ruff patches.

I am also thankful for my extended family I am blessed everyday through blogging to be able to reconnect with them. They are also an inspiration to me in so many different ways to see how God is working in their lives.

I am dedicating this post to my Father. He had spirit week at his school a couple of weeks ago the theme was Pirates. Well, let me tell you he loves Barbosa on Pirates of the Caribbean, he literally can watch all of the movies in one day and God help us anytime its on TV he watches them too. I have only seen my Dad dress up one other time it was when we lived in NY he was Vanna White and my Mother was Pat S on Wheel a Fortune. My Dad was a very ugly woman. So I was real happy when he decided to be involved with spirit week his costume was the bomb. I am so proud of him for surprising the high school teens they absolutely loved it, some even took pictures with him. I think it’s cool that my Dad has a great connection with these high schoolers you need to have a teacher who is well respected by the staff but also by his students.

I am thankful that 14 years ago the Lord gave me the privilege of giving birth too Travis.
This week was his birthday. I thank the Lord for many things when it comes to Travis. He has a very tender heart he cares deeply for people with illnesses or who are different. Travis has an amazing amount of braveness even though he thinks he is weak, not a lot of people could’ve gone through what he has at such a young age. I tell him all the time his strength come from the Lord lean on God and he will get you through anything. His smile and laughter can light up a room, he is truly my sunshine. His imagination on life is incredible, sometimes I just look at him and say WOW did he really come from me. I tell him daily how much God has truly blessed my life with Travis being apart of God creation. He has such heart for God sometimes he says he wants to be a pastor and chef. I always tell Travis to reach for the stars because all things are possible with God by our side.
I am thankful that my husband has a job especially with how the economy is right now.
I am thankful that the Lord knows our needs and finances even though my husbands health insurance is doubling. I know that God will provide the difference that will be taken out of his pay weekly.
I am thankful for my health even though, I am struggling big time right now. I just have to believe that God has a plan for all of this and I just need to be still and listen. Be ready for what lies ahead I know that God has a purpose for me. I just have to keep waiting patiently.
I am thankful for my crazy animals they make me laugh and scream at the same time. I don’t know what I would do with out my munchkins.
My Mom, I’m thankful to her that I don’t have to struggle with this alone, I can always find comfort in her presence when it comes to health issues. If anyone would know how it is to live with chronic pain and hidden illnesses my Mother is the one to talk too. I give thanks today for God’s love, mercy, comfort, and protection over my loved ones and friends.

Well, another year closer to being an adult ...UGH. I am not ready for that, its funny as mother's we say Wow time is flying by. I am actually now saying to myself slow down a little so I can take it all in, what time I have left before he leaves and goes into the world of so many temptations. I just keep praying for Gods guidance, direction, Christian wife, career, health and so much more. During these teenage years they just want to breeze through it so they can get that car, first job, and try to make it on their own. They think life is so easy, I have no idea where they come up with is idea I personally believe its a puberty thing. Ok, enough of the soap box chatter.
Travis 's birthday was fun it was just the 5 of us his family (he says). His Dad and I woke him up with flashing camera and birthday song. Poor thing then it was rime for school he actually though he was going to get a free day....HA what does he think this is.......
While he was doing his work I had to run some errands with my Mother then I ran into the house and started making "strawberry pudding cake". I am so glad it turned out I must say it was the best one yet. I know family if you are reading this Travis prefers strawberry over chocolate I don't know what I happened something went wrong in the womb....lol. For his birthday dinner we all went out to a Japanese Resturant he loves sushi and then came home and ate cake. Now whats left is birthday spank'ns parents love this part. Actually we just give him kisses & hugs to end the night. Isaiah 49:13 Sing, O Heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the Lord hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.
I am thankful for God’s comfort I couldn’t have gone through this for the past 7 months with out Him. As I sit here in my bed feeling my flesh burn from the inside out and itch so bad from head to toe that rubbing or even scratching doesn’t even help relieve it. I’m taking medicine that’s not even working but hey until the Doctor gets the entire test back then hopefully we will kick this in the butt. I have cried out Lord why? Are you punishing me? I’m too young, I want to do so much more with my life, and I’m not ready. I just don’t understand why God would do the same to me to Travis. It was hard for me to deal with my Mom’s illnesses as a teen and now Travis is being doubled whammy by both his Mom and Grandmother. You know what I dislike more then anything is when I have to go out of my house. The looks I get when people look at me well guess what I can see you, hear you and read your lips. Do you realize how painful it is for me too seeing the way you stare at me with disgust and say such horrible things about me? Do you know how hard it is for me to look at a mirror every morning and see hives all over my forehead , face, hands, arms, breast, stomach, my whole legs, even my but ladies and back I tell you covered. Its not sexy one bit as I sit here I am crying that’s how depressing it is. Yes, I once had beautiful skin I would be complimented on my complexion and now I get looked upon like a leper. I can deal with the other medical problems in my life I just want God’s mercy and healing hand to touch my body and make it all better.

Today was a fantastic day for the 3 of us we got out of the house and spent the day at Schnepf farm. It’s a family ran farm here in Arizona that always opens there farm up to the public and they have a nice fall festival. I thank the Lord for providing the right moment and money for us to be able to spend some much needed time with each other. It was great seeing Travis try to rock climb and then Travis found the courage to ride a roller coaster with his Dad. Oh, let’s not forget the food we had yummy barbeque pull a part pork sandwich, chips, drink and fudge brownie….mmmm. Then we went to the pumpkin patch to pick our pumpkins to bring home and carve. Oh, I can’t leave out this part this was my favorite part the pig racing excuse me the piggy derby, I totally got into that it was so much fun hollering for your pig to win. So long story short we had loads of fun just being together. Lord thank you for watching over us as we traveled and giving us the push to be together.

Travis Schooling.....

This week has been a riot I tell you. I haven’t received Travis’s text books or materials yet so we have been trying to fill 6 hour school days with contingency stuff. That means things I can print up for him to do during the mean time that doesn’t require a text book well guess what, that’s not a whole lot folks. So yesterday Travis used math skills in cooking (making dinner) oh also he used science skills to because the banana bread blew up in the oven. Thank God we needed an experiment to, so that worked out for us. Today I took him to the Library to get some books that were on his Literature list to read so he can get started on those. It’s hard to expect him to understand pre-algebra with out a text book when he has never learned it. So when they ask him to do work sheets and he has no idea what he’s doing I can’t see making him do something he doesn’t grasp. Every evening we are doing Physical education together we both need the exercise. I got him started on a typing course; oh he just loves that…lol. Just pray that his school work gets here fast real fast. I pray that all of you have a great week and fulfilling week. Teaching is a special gift from God it deals with a lot of patience.

I am asking for prayer for me because I have a lot of work to do too get myself and Travis prepared for school before Monday. Its just seems like my brain looks at it, reads it and goes yep looks fun enjoy……. I have so much information to read, get his week planned out, day to day work ready and to top that off I have to daily log everything in too. I am starting to feel very overwhelmed. I keep though reminding myself not to take control to allow God to pull the cart and I ride along. Please just pray that I continue to lean on his shoulders for strength & guidance.

I am dedicating this Thankful Thursday post to my Father Jim. My Father is a wonderful loving, caring, gentle, Godly, tenderhearted, funny, trust worthy and hard working man. I am very thankful that God saw fit for me to be born from my Dad and Mom Michele. They are 2 very important people in my lives. My Father has been Pasturing for 21 years even though he has been in the actual ministry for many years doing other things in the past. Along side with pasturing he also is a high school history teacher he loves to teach it’s in his blood. I love my Dad so much there are not enough words to express how much he has done for Travis, Karl and I in the past and now, he is the worlds best Dad and Grandpa a Daughter could ask for. Here are a few things my Father has taught me; Love & Obey God, respect others peoples things, be on time, integrity, love your country, learn from your parents mistakes & yours, my way isn’t always the right way, family’s all you got so stop fighting and just get along, God does answer prayers in his timing not yours, always say I love you.

I am trying folks to get in the mood for fall. Living in Arizona when its still over 100 degrees is hard but last night I decided to pot some fall flowers and repot house plants. This morning I put on a crock pot of southwestern chili its smells good.... Travis is going to make some peanut butter cookies and of course you have to have corn bread with chili. I've even done some fall cleaning purged some closets moved around some furniture this weekend to get Travis room ready for new school curriculum coming. I'm excited because Travis and I will be able to go on field trips monthly with this new online home school program which is funded through the state. I am sorry it’s a charter school that is (public). They are also providing him the computer, printer, textbooks and all other materials that he will need. He will also have a teacher to help and instruct him when needed. I will also have phone conference every 2 weeks, I like that so I will know what is going on at all times. Even though I’ll be by his side most of the time…lol. Well, I hope all of you have a Blessed day!!!

I know I haven't been on for awhile I took a brain break. I just couldn't think I was always sleepy I did find out that it was one of my medicines that was causing it. I am writing today to ask for prayer for my parents they have a very important meeting this after noon and I am asking for God's direction and guidance in their situation. Please give this gentle men the write words and advice that needs to be done for my parents to make the right decision for them. Also please pray for my Father he is under a lot of stress and pain. I feel( actually am the cause) like I am to blame for a lot of the problems they are going through to so please pray for me and my husband too.

My Dog Ate My Homework.......

You all know I love animals. Well, my 1 year old basset hound and the stray kitten we took in love to get into trouble together. The other day I was in the kitchen cleaning and my son was watching TV. I turned around and noticed my 2 youngest animal kids were not around, so I began to walk around and what I walked in on was…… them shredding, tearing and rolling around in there mess of papers. The funny thing is it was Travis’s math test and of course my score key for grading his work. Travis said, well I can actually say the dog ate my homework. Yeah truthfully it did happen so now I have to close my computer desk up every time I am not in the room along with the bathroom doors because they like toilet paper too. I tell ya my house is truly a “funnyfarm” you never know what to expect from my little ones. I know this might be silly to ask but my basset hound has growth of some type on her stomache by her nipple. I can't afford to take her to the vet so we are trying soem natural stuff to see if it works. So I am asking for prayer that it will go away and she will be healed.

Today was an AWESOME day for Travis and me. For months I have been praying for God’s direction and today I told Travis some life altering news. My mother received an e-mail months ago about the birth of Keith’s (my Ex) son and daughter. When she showed it to me I immediately said we can’t tell Travis he can’t handle it mentally and emotionally. I made everyone promise me they would keep their mouths shut and never speak of it again. As we all know God doesn’t work that way. So after months of agony should I tell him and trying to decipher Gods words verses what Satan is telling me. Last night when I broke down and told my husband what I was going through, I asked him what he thinks I should do. His words were, when Travis finds out I will not lie to him that I didn’t know, I then said, he could hate us for not telling him sooner. My husband replied, what would Jesus do………….all man right then and there I knew what I had to do. So when I got home from my Doctors appointment I sat Travis down and told him the news. I was shocked he took it very well. We talked, prayed and walked around Wal-mart came home and WOW he actually cuddled with me on the couch. God is good. I can truly and honestly say I am happy for my Ex, his wife and 2 new babies. I even called my Ex for Travis and I got his wife and we actually talked civil to each other. I also found out that my Ex is on his 8th tour in Iraq, I told her we would be praying for his safe return and their family. Travis is not ready to talk to Keith so I relayed the message to his wife for her to tell him. I am so proud of myself because I saw the change that the Lord has done in my life. Thank You Lord for seeing, loving and nurturing me through my baggage. It is all released now I feel light as a feather.
Oh, I am still sick the Doctor put me on a different antibiotic so hopefully I will start feeling better soon. I do thank all of you for praying for me this week.

Strength in God

I am Thankful for the strength that God gives me each day. My husband says one of my good qualities is me strength that only comes from God. I have days where I feel like I am super women, I cook, clean, help Travis with home school and move furniture all around the house. Yesterday was one of those days I just couldn’t rest. At the end of the day I was so exhausted that I just wanted to lay down, but the Holy Spirit said come to me child. Here’s the verse that kept coming to mind, Psalms 27:8 “My heart has heard you say, "Come and talk with me." And my heart responds, "Lord, I am coming.” So I read several chapters in Psalms and then I read a chapter in the new book I am reading called (The Power of a Woman’s Words). I am so glad I stopped and listened because after I read the Bible and my book I was relaxed. It’s great to know that indulging in God’s word it always calms our mind and heart. I am Thankful for Gods strength and always knowing that I can find rest in his arms.

Letting Go

Since Thursday I have done a lot of praying and reading Psalms. I asked the Lord for direction in what I needed to do to have peace. So Friday the Holy Spirit kept hammering away at me. I finally gave up the fight and called my Mother-in-law and asked for her to forgive me for being angry and jealous. Of course she forgave me and also told me she understands the pain that would cause. I couldn't believe that she acted that way towards me she was actually genuine. I have been filled with such peace and love that I know longer let the miscarriage consume me. I know they are in the best of hands our Lord and Savior. I don't have to worry or be in pain any longer because I am seeking refuge in Christ. Now I can only hope that Karl and I will be able to minister to his family especially his Brother and Lauren who will be having a baby and getting married. My goal is to show them Christ unconditional love for them and that the only true happiness is through God.

Forgiveness

Yesterday evening Karl and I got some news from his Mother that Karl’s youngest brother is getting married and also having a child. Instead of me being happy I threw a tantrum. I was angry because she was having a baby and not me. See almost 2 years ago I miscarried 2 babies, So after feeling sorry for myself I realized I wasn’t angry or upset about them getting married or having a baby. God made me realize that I was upset because Travis and I have never been accepted into their family we have always been the outcast. He also made me see that I thought if I had an Ashby heir then we would be accepted well, I was wrong. God made me see that I can’t be in their circle because I am in the family of God and they are sinners. As Christians we can’t fit into the sinners world. So as I cried out I asked God to forgive my angry heart and to fill it with contentment and joy. I have realized that I need to stop trying to be the daughter they desire (my husbands family) and walk away and let God work in there hearts, all I can do is pray fervently for there salvation. I am so glad that our Lord is a forgiving God. I found a verse Psalms 86:5 O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask your aid. When I kept reading that verse I thought to myself I am so thankful that I have a God who is loving and easy to forgive me of my failures and that all I have to do is ask and He will help me through it.

Shopping Can Make a Person go CRAZY

Is their anybody out there like me……? Um, No I don’t think so. I am driving myself crazy because I went out shopping with my Mother today and of course I came home with groceries. Now let me tell you I have re-arranged the hall closet and a cupboard full of food. I don’t know why I can’t pass up a good deal when I have no more room to put stuff. I know because I like shopping. A thought just crossed my mine, I could do what Mom does I’ll put stuff in the dishwasher we never use it anyway. Ah ha I just had an epiphany; I’ll put my clean dishes in there and boxed food in the cabinet. I so like blogging because it makes me think.

Ok, my mom said I have to give you some actual facts well here it is.

I have a medical reason to my madness. Now I don’t know how many of you know this but I make my family get a clean towel after each shower or bath. I know, some of you are saying, that’s absurd. Ok, here I go yesterday I went to the doctor and there was a health magazine. It was about towels. This is what it said, after you bathe and you hang up your towel it should dry completely before you use it again but if you live where there is humidity you should just get a fresh towel. Why, you ask because your towel can get moldy which causes bacteria. So if you use that towel again you are spreading the bacteria back on your body which then can cause skin rashes along with lesions and sores. It even said, if does dry completely you should use it maybe just 1 more time. I say forget that just get a fresh towel every time. Gross, huh well after reading that I told myself I am going to keep up with my madness and discard my wash clothes and hand towels daily in the laundry basket.

1 John 4:18-21 Such love has no fear because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of judgment, and this shows that his love has not been perfected in us. We love each other as a result of his loving us first. If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is a liar, for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, who we have not seen? And God himself has commanded that we must love not only him but our Christian brothers and sisters too.

I am thankful that God has shown me his unconditional love so then in return I can show his love to others. It has taken me sometime to get used to not living in fear of being judged for the things I had done in my past or present. What God has shown me through prayer, devotion time and reading books is that the only person who was judging me was myself and in return I was the one who was causing the fear and pain on myself. For years I never knew what true love was, I actually envied married couples because my first marriage was nothing but love. It was full of fear, neglect, abuse and judgment but that all changed when I met my husband Karl. He has shown me what true love is he never gave up on me, Karl knew that with prayer and dedication God would show me how to love myself and Karl.

Six random facts about me:

I used too model and one occasion I met Stephen Baldwin. Oh, was he cute I even got an autograph but who knows where that might be.
If you haven’t figured it out I love animals. At one time I had 3 birds, 2 cats, 4 dogs, and a snake. Now I have 2 dogs and 2 cats I can’t go anywhere that have a sign free animals because I always feel like I have to give them a home. One day I would like to own a house with lots of acres and take in animals of all type and give them a home full of love. I know I am CRAZY but it’s a dream of mine but to do this I would have to be financially wealthy and stable.
I have always wanted to adopt a special needs child. I have finally realized that I have special ones right under my finger tips. My husband has learning disabilities, OCD and mood disorder (bi-polar). My son is also Bi-polar and has post traumatic stress disorder along with anxiety. I also suffer with acute bi-polar disorder along with mania, OCD mixed with different anxiety. It is very hard at times for all of us to get along but having God and prayer in our life we do just fine. My husband and I were told we would never make it and to this day we keep proving them wrong the Dr. just sits back and shakes his head. With true love and God at the top of the triangle we have conquered through so much together.
I have pretty much dyed my hair every color accept brown (brunette) that’s the next one on my list. If I don’t mess up on the color like last time and my hair came out BLUE. Right now I am “black”.
I love to shop at second hand stores you can find great things. I also love garage sells too but lately I don’t get up early enough and plus I have no more wall space well, maybe if I found something I really liked I could always find room……lol. But needless to say I LOVE to shop I think it’s in my genes.
I love shoes and purses lets just say I have more than a closet full. I just can’t help myself when there is a bargain. I just don’t buy shoes for me I get them for my husband and son.

Oh, the things we do to make our loved ones happy. I truly think my husband is getting me back for this weekend when I moved our bedroom furniture around. My husband and son want the video game system to be hooked up too the internet so they can get some of the older games. So what do I do I once again move my living room furniture around so it is closer to the computer which is in my room? Now I am going to have 2 black wires through out the house, “joy”. As you can see I am not amused because just last week I moved the living room around and it looked very nice and roomy and I was happy with the arrangement. Now I have to figure out how to set it up all over again its different when I get into the mood to rearrange things not because I have too.
Here’s funny # 1 my kitten (Gomez) that we found and took in he is constantly climbing up my curtains they are ruined needless to say. He is relentless we spank him and tell him no and he just looks at you like your dumb. This is the 1st cat we have ever had that is a climber, we even went and got him cat post and other toys and he prefers to play with dog toys. Don’t get me wrong I love him but he drives me CRAZY.
Funny #2 we must be nuts or just crazy to share our bed with our basset hound, Shi Tzu, and cats I just have to say thank goodness we have a king size bed. At times it can be a real nuisance I mean to kiss my husband good night we have to maneuver around them. I tell you were a funny farm in here, oh I forget to mention that when we get done kissing we have to kiss our animals good night too or they think they are missing out on something. I tell you we are crazy, crazy folks.
Last but not least funny #3 my teenage son is going through puberty. His voice is cracking and he thinks its time to shave, let me tell you have more facial hair then he does….lol. The other day he asked his Father when did you start shaving my husband answered back at 12 years old. Now I need to explain something to you he is Spanish, Italian and German descent he is very hairy needless to say he looks like he has leg warmers on. My husband proceeded to tell Travis that when he was in 7th grade he had a mustache and some hair on his chin. Kids thought he was a high school student who flunked a few grades. He told Travis the longer you can wait the better, I don’t know why they think its going to be cool to shave. I despise shaving I think it’s a nuisance but for Travis it’s just getting closer to being a man.

I am so excited my hubby is on vacation starting today. He'll be home the whole week with us. He'll get too see what home schooling Travis is all about and how difficult and stressful at times it can be. Hopefully I can get him to do some stuff around here like cleaning and straitening up his closet for one. Mom has already added something’s to his "to do list" too. It will be nice just to have him home it’s been quite sometime since he's taken off. Now will get to eat early again like 5:00pm instead 6:30 or 7:00pm it’s hard on our stomachs eating that late I know especially for my parents. My family has been complaining about dinner they what me to spice it up again like I used too, so I am going to make some interesting foods and desserts. It’s going to be Heather's cafe this week so sit back and enjoy.

What A Day.....

Its 9:30 pm and I am still going strong. Today I woke up and I knew it was going to be a manic day. I moved my bedroom furniture around I think I am finally happy with it. Along with that I made cake and cooked dinner, eggplant parmigiana with spaghetti. Oh, lets not forget I even played games with the family and super women is also doing laundry too. I am trying to rest and stop but its hard when the brain and body keeps going. I am driving my husband crazy when I am like this he just does what I say and stay out the way when he is not needed. Cause he doesn't want to suffer the consequences. What a shame I know what is going on inside my head but I just can't control it. Lord, please help me to settle down.

I am so thankful for Mom who cares so much for her family. My Mother is very loving, kind, caring, giving, and beautiful. She has always loved me through the hard and comical times of my life. She knows when I am down on life and she always does her best to lift me up. You all have to realize that my Mother has a lot of medical problems but through it all she can still find humor in anything. I would have to say one of her best qualities is that she loves the Lord and believes in the healing power of our Lord. She truly believes that one day the Lord is going to heal her from all of her chronic problems. It is amazing to see how much strength and courage she has everyday to do God's will. My Mom is a wonderful Lady if you haven't figured that out. She truly blesses my life everyday how she takes one day at a time and waits patiently on the Lord to heal her but as she waits she ministers to people and encourages them everyday not to give up the race. Cause when it’s all said and done we will be sitting at the foot of Jesus with no problems.

The Joy of Memories......

This morning when I read my Aunt and Missy’s blog about my cousin Laura I started to reminisce on the past. I remember going to my Nana’s and Papa’s house in Eagles Mere and the minute you walked in you could smell fresh baked cookies and pipe tobacco. We also took many walks on the laurel path where there was a big rock that over looked the lake and papa would tell us stories. We would also walk to get the mail and newspaper everyday. Sometimes Papa and I would pick fresh blueberries for Nana so she could bake something yummy with them that day. Also us girls (cousins) would spend the night and we would have so much fun playing games with Nana and going down to the tennis courts and riding bikes which Missy always had to have the girl bike because she was to short. I remember one year us girls wanted to be in the 4th of July parade so we decorated the bikes and of course I fell off my bike and got tar all over my legs and arms and papa cleaned me up with gasoline because that was the only thing that would take it off. I also remember being stuck in our rooms for hours when our moms would get into deep conversations with Nana. We would try to sneak down and listen but we always got caught. It’s funny to know that my cousin Laura is so far away from home because when she was little she would always get homesick. She also had this homemade animal pillow that went with her every where. I wonder if she still has it. I wonder if Missy remembers this but there use to be a family that would come up to Eagles Mere that lived in the house next door. Missy and I had a crush on the same boy I don’t remember his name but Missy would sit in front of the mirror for hours it seemed putting on make up and doing her hair. It drove Laura and me crazy because we couldn’t do anything unless Missy was with us. I mean like walk down to the general store or go rent a paddle boat she was the oldest by a year. I also remember all of us girls including our mom and nana we would all go out shopping to the country stores that was always fun because it was just us girls. We also would go toboggan which is a long sled that held maybe 6 people and you would slide down the ice real fast the only thing that was not fun was walking back up the huge hill to have another run at it. There are so many more I could tell you but these were the ones that came to mind. I so miss my family back East you don’t realize how much you need them in your life until you’ve been gone for so many years. I love you all.

What Else Is There To Do........?

Well, today was a restless day for me. It was either sleep so I don't scratch myself or clean and move furniture around. I decided to move the living room around after pondering for several days on how I am going to move this around where it will look nice and comfy. So while Travis was doing his home school I was doing my thing. I knew I was eventually going to get tired of where the furniture was sitting but you know ladies this is away to clean around and under things. Oh, the joy of kids and animals you wouldn't believe the things I found. Travis's ring he thought he lost, food wrappers, money (which I keep), and needless to say toys from the munchkins (animals). But.... as I sit and look at the work I did I agree with Missy I could have my own show. Now where my couch and Hubby's chair we can all enjoy each others company by talking to each other because were facing one another or we can watch TV together. Travis likes it because we can now play games on the coffee table. So I guess I did something right.....lol. My parents think I did it so I wouldn't have to cook tonight , well that was true but tonight was the first time they cooked dinner in there apartment for the five of us. I have to say it was quite nice not to have to clean up and wash dishes.....woooohooo. Hears the kicker my husband has always been clumsy as he was getting up from the table and backing up he broke , crunched poor Kylies food bowl......oops. So actually there was a clean up on his end, he hates when he does stupid stuff it just makes him feel so bad the rest of the night cause he can't help his clumsiness it just comes naturally to him. Well, ladies its time to relax and enjoy my family.

I got some news about my blood work. My Doctor called this afternoon and told me well, I have no good news to tell you. I said, OK just give it to me straight. Well, your blood work was very high but not dangerous you have AUTO IMMUNE HIVES. He proceeds to tell me theirs nothing they can do they will come and go or might stay for some time. He said, its like a flare up but when you are bad you can come into the office to get a shot. The shot is the stuff in a epi pen but I would get a higher dose. So to let you know the hives are not allergy related......bummer. I am not upset its just a bummer that I will have these for the rest of my life or until God heals me completely. He is going to try another medicine on me along with my other medicines. So lets see what will happen just pray for my insanity and my family too to deal with me when I am a giant hive.

Well, the hives have slowly come back. I really wish the Doctors could figure this out. I mean that's what they are paid to do find and fix the problem. I am really worried that this is a chronic problem I am having with these hives. I mean my thyroid Doctor thought well maybe its the dye in your thyroid pills. Well, guess what it ain't that.... I am still waiting for some blood test to come back hopefully that will tell me something. Cause I am starting to go crazy again with itching. Y'all have to understand I don't just get a rash, I get welts and boil looking blisters. I ask for your prayers that the Lord will heal me or have the Doctors figure this out so they will know what to do for me.

My son Travis has been home schooling now for a few months. The reason we decided to go with home schooling was to protect him from the world. He was having problems with bullying and being threatened. I believe as parent that we are suppose to protect, love, nurture, teach and raise our kids. It is also important for us parents to listen to our children's needs. When we ask them questions about there day or how are they doing, we need to give them the same respect that we demand when we are telling them something. As a parent we need to give them the eye contact and stop what we are doing and listen. Travis and I have become much closer because I stopped and listened to what he was saying a few months ago. I heard his cry for help and as a family we stopped and listened and did something about it. My prayer for families is to hear their children's cries for help and stop, listen and pray for God's guidance. It is a very rough world out there and our children need all the prayers, love and guidance to know how to deal and cope with a world of bottomless sin.
Lord, I ask that you shield our children from the depths of despair and Satan's mind games. Lord, please be with the ones who are having problems put your arms around them and comfort them during there time of need of not knowing who they are. Let them know that there strength is in you Lord. Amen

Alone Time

Today was a nice day I got to have some alone time with my Mother. That hasn't happened for quite some time. We aren't allowed to go out because we always spend money. Well, what can you say we love to shop. Actually Mom wanted to get some curtains for her home and while we were doing that she decided what the hay I'm going to get a new bedspread to go with the curtains. Lets just say her bedroom will be sensual but still enough manliness. Even though we enjoyed each others company our body and feet were aching but we didn't let that ruin our time together. What I think is funny after coming home and taking naps we went back out and had dinner together and for dessert she had her a "Hershey bar". Karl said something funny about Mom he said, you know I think Moms blood is chocolate because its like a blood fusion for her, when she doesn't have it she gets sick and ill and remember its the only thing that cures her stomache. I said, yep but here's the kicker when she eats chocolate everyday she looses weight. I wish that would work for me. I Love You Mom you are 1 special Lady.
